How the stars work

Every Favorite is a place we've been to ourselves and enjoyed. The stars tell you what stood out, and each tier includes everything in the one below it — a two-star spot has all of the qualities of a one-star spot, plus more.

One-Star Favorite

Quality, casual Filipino food at a great value. Food we've enjoyed and would eat again, at a place we'd happily go back to, especially if we lived nearby.

Everything in one star, and it excels in at least one area: superior flavor, service, ambiance, presentation, ingredients, or the whole dining experience. It may cost a little more, but it's worth it. Think of a food truck with just a few items, every one of them excellent.
